Yi Liao
Yi Liao is a bioinformatic scientist in the lab. He is interested in many research areas, including population genomics, mechanisms of 3D genome structure, function, and evolution, as well as methods for identifying structural variations based on high-quality genome assemblies. His work in Dr. Chakraborty’s lab mainly focuses on the Population Genomics of Mosquitos (Anopheles stephensi), aiming to identify genomic alterations that may relate to local environment adaptation and insecticide resistance in mosquitoes.
